The difference between the easy, standard and pro levels is the strategy used to choose the computer's discards and pegging plays. Discarding:	Chooses a random pair of cards.
Pegging:	Chooses a random valid card.

Discarding:	Chooses the pair of cards that will result in the best hand score ignoring the possible flip card. If the discards are a pair or sum to 15, it adjusts the analyzed hand value by 2 (plus or minus depending on the crib owner.) Notice that this strategy does not account for flushes or possible runs that could result from the flip card.
Pegging:	Chooses the next card that will result in the highest score for itself. If all plays are of equal value then it chooses at random.

Discarding:	Evaluates the score for each pair of discards for all possible flip cards still left in the deck. Then takes the play that averages the highest outcome. For the cards in the crib, evaluates their value as well with each possible flip card and adds or subtracts depending on who will count the crib. Note that the potential from the two additional crib cards are not included in the crib analysis.
Pegging:	Chooses the next card that will result in the highest score for itself. It also prefers not to leave the pegging count at 5 or 21. If all plays are of equal value then it chooses at random.

Cribbage is a two player game. The object of the Six-card cribabge game game is to be the first to score 121 points, which is the same as going around the board twice and then moving one more point. Five Card Cribbage is an older traditional version which is still popular in United Kingdom. 5-card Cribbage differs from the more modern 6 card cribbage by the number of cards in hand (initially 5) and by the score to play - usually it is 61 points.

A standard cribbage board has four parallel rows of 30 holes each, plus two pegs for each player. Two rows are used by each player; thus each player moves his or her pegs around a 60-hole track, advancing one hole for each point scored. Each player is given two pegs, one peg marking the player's current score and the other peg the player's previous score. Each time new points are earned, the players rear peg moves ahead of the forward peg as many holes as the number of points earned. By convention, players travel up the board's outer tracks and down the inner tracks, which means that one player moves around a track clockwise and the other moves anti-clockwise.
